Walchand College of Engineering Admission 

For Diploma Programmes 

• The admission process of Polytechnic Diploma is handled by the office of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra State, and Mumbai.
• Students need to apply online through the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra.
• The candidates get shortlisted based on the Centralized Admission Process (CAP), conducted by (DTE).

For UG Programmes

• Candidates must have completed 10 + 2 from a recognized board.
• Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State have to appear for MHT-CET.
• Other candidates will be selected on the basis of JEE Main score.
• The admission for first-year engineering degree courses is done through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
• To become eligible for CAP the candidates need to register their application online. They can visit the website of Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra, and fill-up the form.

For PG Programmes 

• Candidates must have completed graduation in the relevant field to be eligible for this course.
• Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State and Other than Maharashtra State (OMS) have to appear for GATE.
• The admission for postgraduate engineering degree courses is done through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).

For Ph. D. Programmes 

Candidates must have completed a master's degree from a recognized university in a relevant field.

• The candidates need to appear for a Common Entrance Test and Interview/Viva-Voce conducted by Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
• Candidates admitted through QIP Research center of AICTE need not appear for CET.
• The admissions shall be processed through the (Department Research Committee/Central Research Committee).

How to apply?

• The candidates have to apply through the DTE website.
• Upload specified documents, pay the requisite application fee, submit the filled-in form, and obtain a printout of the confirmation page.
• The applicants have to appear for CAP for shortlisting and seat allocation on the basis of entrance score and course/ college preferences. GATE qualified candidates are also allocated seats through the CAP.
• Shortlisted candidates then report to Application Form Receipt Centre (ARC) as per different CAP Rounds.
• Finally, they report at the allotted institution for admission with required documents and fees within specified deadlines.
