Walchand College of Engineering Admission 2024: B.Tech, M.Tech, Diploma, Cutoff, Fees

Walchand students can opt to pursue B.Tech in six different specializations. The basic eligibility criterion for admission is successful completion of class 12th examination from a recognized Board with a minimum aggregate of 45%. Selection is on the basis of MHT CET/ JEE Main score. Seats are allocated through a state-level centralized counseling process.

B.Tech Eligibility

Minimum eligibility criteria for B.Tech admission is qualifying class 12th examination from a recognized board/ university with at least a 40% aggregate score.

B.Tech Selection Criteria

• Selection for admission into B.Tech is done by competent State Government authority through state-level CAP.
• Candidates who have qualified JEE Main are also required to go through CAP.

How to apply for B.Tech at Walchand College of Engineering?

Walchand offers several specialization options in the core engineering disciplines in its M.Tech program.

M.Tech Eligibility

Candidates with an undergraduate engineering degree in relevant field with a minimum 40% in aggregate and also a valid GATE score are eligible to apply for M.Tech admission at Walchand.

M.Tech Selection Procedure

The selection process of non-GATE candidates for the Walchand M.Tech program involves a written test and an interview round wherein applicants are expected to secure a minimum of 40% for admission consideration.

Please note that the institute requires sponsored candidates to possess a minimum two years of work experience in the sponsoring firm/ company in order to be eligible for admission.

How to apply for M.Tech at Walchand College of Engineering?

• M.Tech applicants who have qualified GATE need to register first through the DTE website for counseling.
• Non-GATE applicants need to apply through DTE in order to appear for the written test.

How to apply to Diploma at College of Engineering?

• Application is an online process, through the DTE website.
• Candidates need to register for MHT CET through DTE website.
• Qualified MHT CET candidates are required to appear for CAP with relevant documents.

Walchand is a recognized Research Center of SUK and offers Ph.D program in all the disciplines of Engineering.[7] Currently 69 Ph.D students are enrolled with the institute.

Ph.D Selection Procedure

• Ph.D. applicants are required to appear for an Entrance Test and Interview Process conducted by SUK.
• The entrance test bears 70% weightage and interview performance is given 30% weightage for admission consideration.
• Ph.D selection procedure is overseen by the Department Research Committee/ Central Research Committee (DRC/ CRC). Candidates qualifying the entrance test proceeds to interview round.
• The general merit list for the program is prepared by the DRC/CRC, on the basis of the combined performance of the candidate in the entrance test and the interview.
• Please note that a few students are enrolled through AICTE’s QIP Research Centre and are not required to appear for the university selection process.
