Ponjesly College of Engineering is one of southern India’s leading engineering colleges. Coming under the aegis of Ponjesly Charitable Trust, the engineering college was started in 2005. The institute is dedicated to making technical education accessible for all.

Ponjesly College of Engineering has several facilities for the students, such as:
- Library: The college has a well-stocked library, which is open access and has several features. Most Notably, there is an Open Public Access Catalogue and the circulation takes place through a Barcode System. The library is well equipped, with several audio-visual aids.
- Seminar Hall - The campus has two spacious, air-conditioned Seminar Halls, a conference hall, and an auditorium as well.
- Hostel Facilities - There is a sprawling 20,000 sq.ft Ladies Hostel and a 25,000 sq. ft hostel for boys. There is 24/7 internet access, and other facilities as well.
- Transport - The college has over 50 buses that operate on a set route, which the students can make use of to travel to and from the Nagercoil - Kanyakumari district.
- Other Facilities - There are specialized courts for various sports such as Basketball, Table Tennis, Football, Hockey, etc. There is a clean canteen and a reprographics center for graphic productions as well.

The faculty at PCE is very well qualified, with most of the professors having at least a Master's degree in Engineering for the Engineering Disciplines, and many have Doctorates. All the HOD’s of the college have Ph.D. 's in their fields and are eminent figures with several publications.
