Oriental Institute of Science and Technology Bhopal Admission

Admission for engineering courses of Oriental Institute is strictly based on the entrance exam. Online registration is compulsory for the admission process in College Level Counselling.

How to Apply?

Application Forms can be accessed at the Oriental college official website.
Fill the Application Form and pay the online application fee of INR 1,000 for General and INR 600 for SC/ ST and then submit the form.
To apply offline procure the application form from the OIST campus and complete the same.

OIST has a dedicated Training and Placement Cell which centrally handles all the placements organised in the campus. The campus of OIST is extended over an area of 17 acres, depicting a blend of modern and ancient architecture creating an ideal environment for academic excellence.

Computer Labs: OIST Bhopal has 1100 i5 /i3 core 2 duo desktop and servers with 100 Mbps leased lines. The Campus LAN is fully structured. The Network backbone is on fibre optics. The Network is fully secure and optimized through the firewall.
Library: The Multi-storied Central Library of the Oriental Institute of Science & Technology has a wide range of books near about 74496. The library also has leading newspapers including English and Hindi, Periodicals, Digital E-journals.
Hostel and Guesthouse: OIST has hostels for boys and girls separately within the premises. Hostel rooms are well furnished with a good hygienic atmosphere and automated machines. Other facilities include in house Canteen & Mess, Water coolers with UV Purifier, Recreation Room, Indoor games, Gymnasium, Medical room with Doctor & Nurse in attendance.
NSS: NSS wing which is very active on campus and it creates awareness in the society on social issues. Tree plantation activity, Blood donation camp, awareness rallies and drives on cleanliness, Save River, Girl Child, Education and various other co-curricular activities are part of this wing.
NCC: The National Cadet Corps (NCC) wing which provides training to students including Drill, shooting, Physical fitness, Map reading, First aid, Gliding/Flying, boat pulling, sailing and camp training covering basic military training in Army, Navy and Air Force. NCC also conducts centrally organised camps like Leadership camp, Vayu Sainik camp, Nau Sainik Camp, Trekking Camp, Rock climbing camp, Trekking camp, National Integration camp, Thal Sainik Camp, Army attachment camp, Airforce attachment camp, Republic day camp and Annual training camp.

I take admitted to this college through jee mains and the mode of admission is through jee Mains I took admitted to the IT branch because the placement of IT is better than CSE in this college. If you scored 70-75 percentile in jee mains you can get admission to this college in the CSE branch.

Admission is on the base of jee, you have to score a minimum 50 to 60 percentile in jee to get admission to oist college. The tuition Fee of this college is 96k. Obc and SC St will get scholarships obc will get 29k and SC St will get 1 lakh. Admission is done through online counseling.

The admission process I went through was quite straightforward. I took Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) to get admission in the college. I had to fill up an online form and submit it with application fee. The cut off for my college was quite high and it was based on the marks I scored in JEE. I was able to get a seat due to my good score in the entrance exam. The information about the eligibility for the course, application form, application fee and application date was mentioned in the official website of the college . I found the application process and the procedure for admission very smooth. The only improvement I would like to see in the admission process is the availability of more information regarding the course and the college on the official website. This would help the students to get better understanding of the college and the course they are opting for.
