MIET Meerut Course Admissions 2024: UPTAC, Eligibility, Selection, Dates

The institute invites applicants for eight specializations under the B. Tech course. To be eligible, a candidate must have passed 10+2 in the Science stream. For selection, they have to qualify the JEE- Main. 

Specializations

Eligibility criteria: 

• The candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. 
• They must have an aggregate of 60% marks. 

How to apply for JEE Main? 

• Visit the official website of JEE- Main 
• Register for the online application form 
• Make a note of the system-generated application number 
• Create a password 
• Log in again and fill out the form 
• Upload scanned images of photographs and signature 
• A fee of 650 INR (325 INR for reserved categories) will be charged. It is to be paid through Debit card, Credit card, Net banking, UPI or Paytm. 
• Keep a printout of the application form for future use.

MIET offers four specializations under the M. Tech course. Interested candidates should have a B. Tech degree in the relevant field with 50% marks, or an M. Sc degree in Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Application. For selection, taking the GATE is a must.

How to apply for GATE? 

• Visit the official website 
• Register through the link by entering the candidate’s name, email ID and mobile number. 
• After the form is submitted, an enrolment ID will be sent to the candidate’s mobile number. 
• Fill out the application form. 
• A fee of 1,500 INR (750 INR for women and reserved categories) will be charged. It is to be paid online. 
• Download the form and keep a printout for future reference. 

GATE counselling: 

• Register at the official website 
• Fill out the application form 
• Pay the registration fee of 2,200 INR (1,700 INR for reserved categories) 
• Click on “I agree” 
• Start entering your choices. When it is done, lock the choices 
• Submit the application and keep a printout

For admission to B. Pharm, a candidate has to pass 10+2 in the Science stream with 60% marks. Selections are made only through UPSEE. 

There are three branches under the M. Pharm course at MIET. For admission to M. Pharm, a candidate must have a B. Pharm degree with 50% marks. For selection, a valid UPSEE or GPAT scorecard is necessary. 

Specializations 

id="mb"Graduates with 50% marks can apply to MIET for the MBA course. They will be selected on the basis of their performance in the CAT or MAT. 

Eligibility and selection criteria: 

• Candidates can have a Bachelor’s degree in any field. 
• The candidate should score at least 50% marks. 
• The candidate should have taken the CAT or the MAT. 

How to apply for CAT? 

• Visit the official website: www.iimcat.ac.in/ 
• Click on ‘Registration’ 
• Read the given instructions 
• Fill in all the necessary details to complete CAT 2019 registration 
• Enter the OTP and validate it 
• Click on ‘I Agree’ and submit. A message will be sent to the registered mobile number containing the password, and an email will be sent containing the User ID 
• After the CAT registration is successful, a unique login ID and a password will be generated. These are vital for filling out the CAT application form. 
• Click on ‘Go to Application Form’ and fill out the form. 
• The fee for the form is 1,900 INR, which is to be paid online.

Students who have a graduate degree in any field can apply for MCA, provided they have studied Mathematics at the 10+2 level. For selection, they have to take the UPSEE.

• At the 10+2 level, the candidate must have studied mathematics

How to apply for UPSEE? 

• Visit the official website: www.upsee.nic.in/
• Click on “Online Application for B. Tech, B. Arch, B. Des, B. Pharm, BHMCT, BFAD, MBA, MCA, M. Tech Courses”. 
• Enter your name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID and create your password. 
• An application number will be sent to you via SMS and mail. 
• Log in again using the application number and password. 
• Provide qualification details. 
• Enter your address. 
• Select the course and the exam centre of your preference. 
• Fill out the rest of the form. 
• Upload scanned images of your passport size photo and signature 
• A fee of 1,300 INR will be charged, which has to be paid online.

For admission to B.Voc, a candidate should have completed 10+2 with 50% marks in the Science stream. Entrance is merit-based. MIET offers four specializations under the B. Voc course.
