IEM Kolkata B.Tech Computer Science and Business Systems: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

The college provides strong placement opportunities, especially for students in their 7th semester and beyond, with top companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, and Capgemini participating in campus recruitment. While the highest package of 40 Lakhs was secured off-campus by Amazon, on-campus placements typically offer an average package ranging from 4 to 5 Lakhs per annum. Many students receive multiple job offers, usually between 2 to 3. In 2020, TCS R&D hired 44 students with packages of 7.5 LPA, and Infosys offered positions to 24 students with packages of 8 LPA and 5 LPA for roles such as Specialist Programmer and Systems Engineer Ð Specialist, respectively. The focus is mainly on IT companies, and although there are plenty of placement opportunities, internship options on campus are limited. The annual course fee is Rs 140,000, with each semester costing Rs 70,000, except for the first semester, which is Rs 88,700, bringing the total program cost to Rs 579,000. The college offers scholarships and financial assistance for students who lost their parents to COVID-19 and for economically weaker students. There is also a Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) for students from West Bengal. However, compared to other private colleges in Kolkata, the fees are relatively higher, and there are no scholarships available for students from Bihar, though loan facilities are available.
