At undergraduate level, Gandhi Institute of Education and Technology (GIET) provides Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and B.Tech (Lateral) to the candidates who wish to pursue their career in the field of Engineering. The courses are offered for four years and three years respectively.

At first students needs to pass their 10+2 level or equivalent in concerned subjects with minimum required marks set by the college. The eligible candidates are then required to appear in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted by CBSE. Candidates may visit the official website

Master of Technology (M.Tech) is also offered by the college at postgraduate level. The college offers this course in four different specializations for a duration of two years.

Candidates who are willing to take up Master of Technology (M.Tech), will have to appear in Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) conducted by the State Government or General Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Key Points:

• 5% seats are reserved for NRI in Private Professional Colleges. No NRI seats are reserved for Government Colleges offering M.Tech
• If candidates are less than 5% in NRI in Private Professional Colleges, the balance seat will be transferred to the general seat and allotment will be done as per general merit
• After deducting the NRI seats 50% of the remaining seats will be allocated to All India Post Graduate Aptitude Tests (GATE) and remaining 50% to OJEE candidates
• If candidates are less than 50% in GATE score, the balance seat wills be transferred to the OJEE and allotment will be done as per general merit
• All the candidates claiming seat under GATE should produce Valid GATE score card in original during counselling process

List of Courses:

The college offers Diploma courses in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering for a duration period of three years. Intake capacity for Mechanical Engineering is 120 whereas for Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering are 60 seats respectively.

Candidates who have studied and passed 10 level or 10+2 level are eligible to take admission in Diploma. However, the candidates need to appear in Diploma Entrance Test (DET) conducted by State Government of Odisha.

• 15% of seats are reserved to candidates of outside Odisha
