Don Bosco Institute of Technology (DBIT) Mumbai Admission 2024: UG & PG Admission

DBIT offers B.Tech. under the following specializations-

These programs are offered for a duration of four years. 

DBIT Mumbai B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should have at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST) or secured top 20 percentile in the Class 12th exam conducted by the respective board to be eligible for admission.
• A valid score in JEE (Main).

DBIT Mumbai B.Tech Selection Criteria

Admission will be done on the basis of candidates’ scores in JEE Main or MHT CET. JEE is a two-tier examination (Main & Advanced) regulated by CBSE Board. MHCET is a state-level entrance test organized by the Government of Maharashtra. 

Candidates can register for the counseling procedure after the declaration of the result.

Candidates will be called for the JEE Main counseling procedure as per their rank obtained in the merit list. JEE Main Counselling will start from the first week of July. Counseling will be handled by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSSA). 

DBIT CAP Cutoff 2023 (Expected)

At the PG level, the institute offers Masters in Management Studies under five specializations-

1. Marketing
2. Finance
3. Human Resources
4. Operations
5. Systems

DBIT Mumbai MMS Eligibility Criteria

• A Bachelor’s Degree awarded by a recognized university in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent (at least 45% in case of reserved category candidates)
• Must possess a valid score in CET conducted by the competent Authority (MAH-MBA/MMS-CET), CAT, CMAT 

DBIT Mumbai MMS Selection Criteria

Admission will be granted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the Entrance Exam.

The following documents must be submitted at the time of admission-

• Final Merit No. Status
• CET Marksheet/Scorecard
• Statement of marks of Std. X & XII examinations
• Statement of marks of all semesters of Degree Examination (i.e. the Qualifying Examination).
• Convocation Degree Certificate/ Passing Certificate
• School Leaving Certificate, if required to substantiate a claim
• College Leaving / Transference Certificate from the college last attended by the Student (to be submitted within 15 days of admission)
• Certificate of Work Experience/ Achievement/ Award etc.
• Physical / Medical Fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner (original copy only)
• Two copies of Passport size color photographs
• Certificate of the Indian Nationality of the candidate.
• Domicile certificate (For CAP students)
• Gap Certificate ( if required)
• Aadhar card copy

Students have to apply for the CET via their respective websites to take admission in DBIT Mumbai.

To register for MHCET, candidates have to visit the official website and do the following:

• Click “Registration" and fill in the online form.
• The information to be provided includes personal details such as name, email id, mobile number, course, etc.
• Candidates then need to upload a recent passport size photograph and signature.
• Applicants will be prompted to enter his/her valid email id, mobile No. and a password on the first login and these must be carefully noted and retained for all future correspondence with MHCET Office.
• After the successful conduct of the MHCET exam and the release of results through counseling, the candidates will be allotted seats at various colleges as the availability of seats.

The candidates can also prefer getting admitted to DBIT through the CAP process.

After being accepted, follow the procedure mentioned below to confirm the admission to First Year Engineering:

• Application form from college office (INR.1000/-)
• Cap allotment letter
• SSC Mark Sheet.
• HSC Mark Sheet.
• College Leaving / Transference Certificate (12th std).
• MHCET Score Card.
• Certificate of Indian Nationality OR Indian Passport in the name of Candidate OR College Leaving Certificate indicating the Nationality as 'Indian'
• Maharashtra State Domicile Certificate OR Birth Certificate indicating Birth Place in Maharashtra OR College Leaving Certificate indicating Birth Place in Maharashtra.
• Copy of Aadhaar Card.
• Copy of A.R.C. Payment Receipt.
• Caste Certificate, Caste Validity Certificate, and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate valid up to 31.3.2021 as applicable (in case of Backward Class Category only).
• Physical/Medical Fitness Certificate from a registered Medical Practitioner.
• Migration & XII Passing Certificate (in case Std. XII is from a Board other than Maharashtra State Board).
• Gap Certificate if applicable.
• Certificate as applicable for Defence quota.
• Certificate as applicable for Physically Handicapped.
• Certificates as applicable for J&K Migrant / GOI Nominee.
