College of Engineering Vadakara (CEV) formerly known as Co-operative Institute of Technology, Vadakara, is the first engineering college under Co-operative Academy of Professional Education (CAPE) established by Govt. of Kerala in the year 1999. The College is affiliated to Cochin University of Science and Technology.
Co-operative Institute of Technology offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and B.Tech Lateral under UG Program to the eligible candidates who want to build their career in the field of Engineering. Apart from the UG courses, the college also offers Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and MCA lateral at postgraduate level.

College of Engineering, Vadakara offers undergraduate courses like Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and B.Tech Lateral to the students who want to build their career in the field of Engineering. The B.Tech specializations are Civil engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering and Information Technology. The duration period of the B.Tech programs is four years. The intake capacity for each of the B.Tech specializations is 63 seats.
Admissions to the B.Tech programs are done through Common Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala. Candidates who have a Diploma in Engineering awarded by the State Board of Technological Examinations or an Examination recognized equivalent thereto, by the state board of Technical Education after undergoing an Institutional course of at least three years securing a minimum of 60% marks in the Diploma Examination are eligible for admission.
