Anand Institute of Higher Technology (AIHT) is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It is affiliated to Anna University and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi.

AIHT offers B.E and B.Tech at undergraduate level. Admission to both the courses is through TNEA Counselling based on the 10+2 score. At postgraduate level, the institute offers M.E and MBA. Candidates can secure admission in PG courses through TANCET score followed by TANCA Counselling.

In case of MBA, if students have a valid score in CAT/MAT then they are exempted from TANCET. Thus, the selection is based on the qualifying exam.

Anand Institute of Higher Technology UG Eligibility

Candidates must have passed class 12th from a recognized institute with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and has obtained 50% marks in the board examination.

Anand Institute of Higher Technology UG Selection Criteria

• Firstly, the successfully registered students have to visit the TNEA Facilitation Centers (TFCs) along with their original documents for document verification.
• When the verification will be done, the concerned authority will publish a merit list based on the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. 
• Applicants are grouped on the basis of their rank and each of the groups have to attend the TNEA counselling conducted by Anna University.
• There will be around 4 to 5 rounds of counselling.
• For participating in it, applicants have to login into the TNEA portal using his/her user ID and password.
• After each round of the counselling, a list of eligible candidates will be published on the portal and such candidates have to pay an initial amount of INR 5000/- (INR 1000/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates of Tamil Nadu only).
• Those who make the payment can fill the choice of college and course and lock them. 
• Based on the rank and choices filled, seats are allotted to candidates.
• If the allotment is according to the choice then students need to report at the college to remit the remaining fees and confirm the allotted seat.

To apply for PG programs, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for Reserved categories).

Anand Institute of Higher Technology PG Selection Criteria

• Anna University conducts the TANCET exam for granting admission into PG programs.
• Applicants with a CAT/MAT score are also considered for admission into MBA course.
• Those who qualify the above exams are invited to take part in the TANCA Counselling for which they need to register online.
• The concerned authority will publish a merit list based on the rank in the TANCET exam.
• CAT/MAT qualifiers can directly take part in the counselling round.
• Candidates who will have their names in the list have to download the Call Letter from the official website by logging in with their registration number and password.
• After downloading, candidates need to visit the centers where counselling will take place along with the original documents for document verification.
• At the time of counselling, candidates have to fill the choice of course and college.
• Also, they need to pay a counselling fee of INR 5300/- (INR 1150/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates) through Demand Draft in the name of “The Secretary, TANCA, Anna University” payable at Chennai.
• Candidates who pay the fees are allotted a seat based on the rank and choices filled.
• If satisfied with the allotment, applicants need to confirm the seat or else they can choose the option of slide or float.

For UG Programs

The application process of B.E/B.Tech is mentioned beneath for those who want to apply in it.

1. Go to the official website of TNEA.
2. Click on the “Registration” link to register yourself by providing username and password.
3. Login using the username and password and proceed to fill the online application form.
4. Enter all the necessary details.
5. Also, select the preferred TNEA Facilitation Center (TFC) for document verification.
6. Now pay fees of INR 500/- (INR 250/- for SC/SCA/ST categories) and then submit the form.
7. Upon successful registration, you will receive a PDF document through the TNEA Application Processing System.
8. Take a printout of the same and affix a recent passport size photograph.
9. The printout has to be submitted at the TFC for verification purpose..

NOTE - An E-Call letter will be available on the official website of TNEA which will contain date, time and address of TFC. An email and SMS will also be sent to registered candidates.

For PG Programs

Students have to follow a sequence of steps to apply for M.E and MBA courses as mentioned below:

1. Visit the official website of TANCET.
2. Click on the “Registration” link and provide the essential details.
3. A key will be sent to your registered mobile number.
4. Now login by entering the registered email id, password and TANCET key.
5. Fill the application form with entrance test, personal, communication and academic details.
6. Next, upload scanned images of required documents.
7. When the form is filled, proceed to make application fee payment of INR 600/- (INR 300 for SC/SCA/ST candidates) through Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card.
8. Check the status of your application and then take a printout of duly filled application form.
