Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology (ACET) is an autonomous college affiliated to Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala. The college is situated in Manawala, in the vicinity of Amritsar city, Punjab.
ACET currently offers B. Tech and M. Tech programs to eligible candidates seeking admission to engineering courses in the state of Punjab. The B. Tech program is offered in 6 engineering disciplines while the M. Tech program is offered in 2 disciplines.
In addition, the institute offers BBA, BCA, B.Sc. Agriculture and B.Com Professional courses at the undergraduate level, and MBA and MCA courses at the PG level. The courses are approved by the AICTE and the institute itself is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and NAAC. It is a Grade ‘A’ institute with IEEE campus access.
- After submission of application form online, candidates must submit all relevant documents in person afore the admission counsellor on the stipulated date, failure of which may lead to dismissal of the applicant’s candidature.
- International candidates must obtain Acceptance Letter from the institute which can be used as a supporting document while applying for visa.
- Candidates with a three-year diploma in engineering are eligible for lateral entry, i.e. direct admission to third semester of B. Tech.
- Only graduates with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Business Mathematics/ Business Statistics/ Quantitative Techniques are eligible for the MCA program.
- In every discipline, 15% of State-quota seats is reserved for outside candidates. Any student who secures Merit position in JEE Main gets direct admission into ACET under this provision. The remaining 85% seats (reserved for Punjab state candidates) are filled on the basis of JEE rank.
- M. Tech and MCA candidates are selected on the basis of GATE and CMAT score respectively.

Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology offers engineering degree (B. Tech) programs to eligible candidates at the undergraduate level.

In addition to MBA and MCA programs, the Amritsar Colleges of Engineering & Technology offers M. Tech programs in two disciplines, viz. Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering.
The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the M. Tech programs is a BE or B. Tech degree in the relevant or allied discipline with minimum 55 percentile marks in aggregate of all papers.
For MBA and MCA courses, candidates must at least complete graduation (BCA degree for MCA). MBA candidates must fulfil additional eligibility criteria of having a valid CMAT score. Candidates without CMAT score are not eligible to pursue the MBA program.
