Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (HIMSR) is a constituent institute of Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi. It is a private institute approved by Medical Council of India (MCI) and conferred Grade “A” by NAAC.
HIMSR offer courses in MBBS, B.Sc (Paramedical Sciences), BOT, BPT, MS/MD, MPT, MOT, M.Sc (Paramedical Sciences) and Ph.D. In addition to these, the institute also offers Diploma courses in X-ray & ECG Techniques (DXE), Operation Theatre Techniques (DOTT), Dialysis Techniques (DDT) and Medical Record & Health Information Management.

HIMSR, New Delhi MBBS Admissions 2023
The institute offers MBBS degree of four and a half academic year duration with one year compulsory rotating internship. The total intake for the course is 100. Admissions to the course will be on the basis of All India Ranks obtained in NEET UG.
To be eligible, candidates need to have passed their class 12th examination or equivalent and studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English and declared eligible under NEET UG.

Key Points:

HIMSR, New Delhi UG Admissions 2023
The other undergraduate courses offered by the institute include in BPT, BOT, B.Sc in Paramedical Sciences and Bachelor of Optometry. The duration of these courses will be four years (8 Semesters) with six months compulsory internship. In addition to these, the admission seekers can also opt for two year Diploma courses offered in three specialisations.

- On the basis of merit/ranks of NEET for MBBS programme, among the candidates, who apply for admission to paramedical degree courses in HIMSR, the selection would be made.
- Non NEET candidates may also apply. Although NEET candidates will be preferred,

HIMSR, New Delhi PG Admissions 2023
HIMSR has recently started post graduate courses of MD and MS in three specialisations. The total intake is three students for each specialisation. Applicants should have an MBBS degree or provisional pass certificate recognized by MCI.
In order to be eligible, it will be necessary for a candidate to obtain minimum qualifying marks in NEET PG. The selection will be done from amongst candidates who have applied for HIMSR for MD/MS admissions in the application form.

Key Points:

- Candidates who have cleared NET conducted by the CSIR/UGC/ICMR are exempted from appearing in the written test however, they should appear in interview.

HIMSR Application Process
Any applicant seeking admissions into any course offered by HIMSR need to adhere to the following steps:
- Only online applications will be accepted through Online Admission Portal at University website www.jamiahamdard.edu or www.jamiahamdard.ac.in
- Candidates must register first before filling-up the online application by providing basic details such as name, email id, password and contact number.
- A registration confirmation link will be send to the candidate to activate application process.
- Thereafter they may click on the online portal and fill up the application form by providing basic details, parent’s details, address details, academic details and upload required documents.
- Proceed to remit an application fees of Rs. 1212/- via Debit Card/Credit Card or Net Banking.
- Take a print out of submitted application form and keep it for future reference.
HIMSR Reservation
Allocation of seats in MBBS programme to different categories is based on the given criteria. In case of all other UG and PG courses 50% of total seats will be reserved for Indian Muslims and 50% for candidates under open merit.
