Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for appearing in NEET (UG) is as stipulated in Indian Medical Council Act-1956 and the Dentists Act-1948. 

Eligibility as per related Regulations is as follows:-

i. He/she has completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.

ii. The upper age limit for NEET (UG) is 25 years as on the date of examination with a relaxation of 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category and persons entitled for reservation under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

Admission Guidelines

  • Selection is based on NEET entrance exam.
  • Selection & counselling for admissions is done only by the DGHS, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), New Delhi.

Documents required at the time of admission are:

  1. Allotment Letter from DGHS (Two Copies)
  2. NEET Score Result Sheet (Two Copies)
  3. NEET Hall Ticket (Two copies)
  4. Plus Two Mark list
  5. Pass Certificate (in case of CBSE / ICSE Syllabus)
  6. Character and conduct certificate from the Head of Institution where the student passed his/her Plus Two / last studied
  7. Community Certificate in case of SC/ST
  8. A Document to prove date of birth (10th Standard Certificate / Birth Certificate)
  9. Transfer Certificate from the Institution last studied.
  10. Migration Certificate.
  11. Medical Certificate for physical fitness (as per the format prescribed on the website)
  12. Copy of Pan Card of Parent
  13. Passport size colour photographs of Candidate – 6 Nos. & Parent – 2 Nos.
  14. Copies of all the certificates (one set)
  15. Candidates those who studied Plus Two other than Indian Syllabus should obtain an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi (For NRI candidates)
