Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy is situated in Delhi and is affiliated to the University of Delhi. AJIPT is recognized by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists and the Delhi Council for Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy.

AJIPT offers full-time courses in Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and Masters of Physiotherapy (MPT). Candidates cleared High School (class 12) are eligible to apply for BPT and for MPT, an undergraduate degree in physiotherapy is required to apply for admission.

The admission to various programmes of the Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy is strictly by the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the University of Delhi. The selection of the candidates for admission to the BPT will be made on the basis of merit in an Entrance Examination.

Approved by UGC, Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy is spread in the area lush green campus of 58,110 Sq. feet. The campus is equipped with all major facilities that cater to the needs of students and staff. The institute has a total of 15 faculties that impart teaching to students admitted to the college.

AJIPT Admission

Admissions at Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy is on the basis of an entrance exam. The entrance exam will be made on the basis of written merit in a Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the University of Delhi.

How to apply?

The admission process for the courses can be done either offline or online. The application process is as follows:

Online Application

To apply online candidates must visit the official website of the institute
Candidates should go to the ‘’ Online Application Form” under Admission Open
Upon filling in all the necessary details and documents, certificate, signature and photograph, candidates should click on the ‘‘submit’” option
Candidates after submitting their documents can pay the registration fees online

Offline Application

Candidate can download the prospectus and the application form under Admission Open button on the official website of the institute with an application fee
The form alongside the fee in the form of DD must be drawn in favour of “Amar Jyoti Charitable Trust (BPT)” and must be deposited at the administrative office before the last date of application.
An Acknowledgment will be sent by the Institute via email, on receipt of a complete application form by the institution.

Senior Secondary School Certificate issued by Board including Date of Birth.
Final Mark sheet of 12th scheme issued by Board.
Certificate prescribed by the authority for candidates seeking admission under the reserved category (SC/ST/OBC-NC/OH) or NRI sponsorship certificate, if applicable.
Migration certificate mandatory for candidate passed 12th Class before 2020.
Certificate of good conduct from the last Institute he/she attended.

AJIPT Scholarships:

The institute offers various scholarships for various meritorious students in the BPT course. The following scholarships are offered by the institute:

Dr Piyush Trivedi Memorial Scholarship: The scholarship is offered by Mr S. N. Punj, Punj Lloyd group. The scholarship is of Rs.12000/- and is offered to the one meritorious student from final year on an annual basis. The selection is on the criteria of performance in attendance, marks, discipline, extra-curricular activities from 1st to 3rd year. The shortlisted candidates have to appear for a written test and interview.
The Dan Sterner Award For All Round Excellence: This award is awarded to one outgoing physiotherapist on a yearly basis. The award aims to appreciate the overall performance of the student throughout the course. The cumulative academic performance as well as the student’s participation in and excellence in co-curricular & extra-curricular activities plus other qualities like leadership, participation in social work and general conduct.

AJIPT Placement:

AJIPT has a dedicated placement cell that helps, guides, and brings good placement and internship opportunities to students.
The placement cell helps students by organizing mock interviews for them.

Library: The institute has a well-organized and computerized library. The seating capacity is of 35 students and has national, international journals. The library is fully equipped and has a total of 3500+ books available.

Sports Facilities: The College has indoor sports facilities for carom, table tennis, chess as well as an outdoor sports facility for sports like Volley Ball, Badminton, Basket Ball, Athletics and Archery

Clinical Facilities: AJIPT is a renowned center for various clinical therapies. Their clinic is famous for treating patients suffering from various problems.

Musculoskeletal and sports rehabilitation: AJIPT has professionals who treat frozen shoulder, cervical spondylitis, low back pain, arthritis, tennis elbow, etc. Along with these conditions they also treat special post-operative orthopedic and sports cases like total hip replacement, Knee replacement, Ligament and tendon repairs, etc.

Obesity Clinic: The institute combats the issue of obesity in individuals by giving them customized dietary and weight management plans for weight loss.

Women’s Physiotherapy Clinic: The institute also has a women’s physiotherapy clinic which aims at providing physiotherapy services in selected gynecological related problems.
