- McMaster University offers Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering for a duration of 2 years.
- It is an on-campus, thesis-based program available with both full-time and part-time options.
- The aim of the MEng program is to strengthe the knowledge gained at the UG level, to enhance the problem-solving skills of students and to advance the body of technical knowledge in civil engineering practice.
- This course and project program requires the completion of the equivalent of 8 half graduate level courses plus presentation of a report.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students have to complete an honour's Bachelor degree in engineering or physical science from a recognized university.
- Students must have a B (75%) minimum average grade is required to get admission in this program.
- Submission of GRE scores is not required for this program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Or, completed a 3-year UG degree must have a substantial background in engineering or a related field.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

- Online application form and fees: Students have to fill the online form and submit the application fees.
- CV/Resume: Outline of academic achievements and/or awards, publications, relevant work, and/or volunteer experience.
- Two Academic or Professional References: Referees (Teachers, guidance counselors, or Professors) should comment on academics and that references should submit along with the application system.
- Personal Statement: It should include a brief overview of themselves, strengths, and any work experience and/or education that students have.
- Transcripts: Students have to submit transcripts from all universities/colleges attended, World Education Services Assessments, and English Language Proficiency test scores.
