- The goal of the Master of Public Policy program is to train policy professionals to step into a wide variety of paid positions across government, private and not-for-profit sectors.
- This 12-month program fosters in students an appreciation of the importance of effective institutions, efficient regulation, and the role that markets play in democracies.
- The program curriculum is guided by The School of Public Policy’s four focus areas: Social Policy and Health, Energy and Environmental Policy, Fiscal and Economic Policy, and International Policy and Trade.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Bachelor's degree (4-years) from a recognized institution or an equivalent degree from the university.
- GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 point system, over the past two years of full-time study (10 full-course equivalents or 60 units) of an undergraduate degree.
Work Experience Eligibility:
- Students may also be considered who have good research work.
- For the thesis-based Master's program, admission is offered based on publications, participation in research projects, and academic awards.
- It typically takes two years to complete, with a maximum of four years.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year Bachelor’s degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
- Or, completed a 3-year Bachelor's Degree must hold a Master's Degree.
- Or, have a CGPA of 8/10 (or 7.5/10 for IITs only).
Submission of GRE scores is compulsory for this program, and it is recommended to submit the scores (minimum 300) for better a chance of admission.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

- CV/Resume: Outline of academic achievements and/or awards, publications, relevant work, and/or volunteer experience.
- Transcript: A PDF copy of all post-secondary transcripts within the application or in Carleton Central.
- Two Letter of Reference: Referees (Teachers, guidance counselors, or Professors) should comment on academics, and references should submit along with the application system.
- Statement of Intent: Explain the reasons or intentions for pursuing studies in this program, including a description of prior experience.
- Two Writing Sample: Students applying for a job, or internship, may be asked to provide a writing sample that allows an employer or graduate program to judge students' ability to convey a written message.
- Study proposal: Document proposing a research project, generally in the sciences or academia, and generally constitutes a request for sponsorship of that research.
- Statement of Purpose: An essay stating the purpose of applying to a particular course at a particular university.
- Statement of research interests: Student has to fill their interesting research work area in the application form.

You can apply for the M.Eng Chemical and Petroleum Engineering proghram of the University of Calgary if you have completed a four-year bachelor’s degree in chemical or petroleum engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0. You must submit your official transcripts as well as a copy of your cetificate. International students must also submit a valid ELP test score unless eligible for exemption.
