I chose this particular school because Carleton university offered me a scholarship. I also like the atmosphere in Ottawa as it is very similar to that of my hometown. The third reason for my selection of Carleton is because they have a very good athletics department.
Course Curriculum
I believe that the course curriculum for computer science is very challenging as well as very intuitive. We are tasked over 4 years to learn several programming languages, as well as apply them outside of the coding interface through computer logic.
Fees
The fees are group together into several different sections. I personally do not analyze this very much as I am aware there are certain student groups, organizations that money is given to through my tuition however I do not directly use those resources. Other fees are the legal fees as well as things like the transportation fees.
Examination Structure
The exams are structured differently for every course, but for the most part, computer science exams consist of several multiple choice questions related to syntax and functionality. At times, the short answer can be used as well as some profs require a code to be written by hand that would function properly when it is to be copied onto a computer.
Faculty
I believe the faculty in my college are clever, caring and unique individuals. They all make an outstanding effort to instruct us on what needs to be done and how it should be done. They are good at connecting what we are learning to real-life industry practices which I happen to find the most beneficial part of all.
