Huron University invites applications for admission twice a year: in the Fall and Winter semesters. Application deadlines vary for different programs. Huron University College Application Deadlines

Huron University College invites applications from students from the Fall and Winter semesters. Applications for all UG and PG programs at Huron University College are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. International students, however, should apply early for chances of being considered for admission. The different admission deadlines are given below for reference:

Huron University College International Admissions

Huron University College welcomes students from all around the world. International students are encouraged to apply early to consider the visa application procedure before the start of the semester if they are accepted. The admission details are as follows:

Application Portal: Students can apply for admission through the Ontario Universities Application Centre(OUAC) . In case the student is applying to only Huron in the province of Ontario, then the students can apply directly, using the Huron Application Portal.

Documents Required

  • Completed Form of Application
  • Transcripts (translated in English if they are in another language)
  • Scores on the English Language Proficiency Test
  • Students from the IB Board should take at least six subjects, three of which should be higher level.
  • GCE students are required to submit three Advanced Level (A-Level) or four Advanced Subsidiary (AS-Level) subjects scores
  • Students from ICSE and CBSE can apply for conditional admission by submitting their class XII results or anticipated score.

Canada Student Visa Requirements

All the international students require to get a Canadian visa to be eligible to study at Huron University College. Students must start applying for their visa as soon as they receive the letter of acceptance by the college. To get the study permit in Canada, one must apply at the nearest embassy.

Huron University College Postgraduate Admissions

For applicants from all over the world who want to study in Canada, the university primarily offers graduate programs in theology. The available programs are: Master of Arts, Master of Divinity, Master of Theological Studies, as well as a Major and Minor in Religion and Theology. Each program has its own set of prerequisites and application process, and applicants may or may not be required to pay a fee.

M.A. Theology is a unique program offered at Huron University College. It is a two-year degree program especially designed to develop the minds of those who have an interest in theology. For this program, the Student-Faculty ratio is only 1:8, so as to provide a better learning experience to students. The application fee for this program is $100.

Application Portal: Students wishing to enroll in PG programs must apply using the Huron Application Portal. However, for admission to M.A. Theology, students need to apply through the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies at Western University.

Ans. Your Huron Offer of Admission letter specifies the deadline for accepting your offer of admission. Confirm your acceptance by logging in to your Application Centre for Ontario Universities account (www.ouac.on.ca). Please confirm your attendance on your Huron Application Portal if you submitted your application directly to Huron. After doing this, make a $1,000 admission deposit.

Ques. What are the deadlines for paying my tuition fees and how do I pay them?

Ans. Fees for tuition, housing, and food plans can be paid in full or in two installments. The first installment is required by August 2, 2023, for overseas students who choose the installment plan. All students must pay the second installment (the remaining balance) before December 3rd. For specific installment amounts, please consult your online statement of account.

Ques. How do I apply for a study permit in Canada and when should I start?

Ans. After you accept your Offer of Admission, you can start applying for a Study Permit using the documents in your Huron Application Portal account. All overseas applicants to Huron University must submit their Study Permit applications as soon as feasible to be in Canada in time for International Welcome Week and the start of the autumn semester.

Ques. Will Huron resume in-person learning from September 2023?

Ans. Yes. In September 2023, Huron will resume in-person learning and on-campus operations.

Ques. Will I still pay the full residence and meal plan fees if I have to arrive on campus late due to study permit processing delays?

Ans. Huron will prorate your Residence and Meal Plan expenses if you arrive late to Residence due to Study Permit processing delays beyond your control. You will only be charged costs for your residence and meal plans from the month you arrive. For example, if you must arrive on October 14th owing to Study Permit processing delays, the expenses paid will be based only on the period from October 1, 2023, to April 30, 2024. For September, you will not be charged.
