Seneca College offers 26 bachelor’s degrees to international students. International students can pursue 70 types of 2-year diploma programs and 26 diploma programs of 3-years duration. The nursing program at Seneca College is offered in collaboration with York University.

Canada Student Visa Application for International Students

International candidates planning to enrol in a course of 6 months or longer duration will require a study permit and Canada student visa, both of which can be obtained with the help of the nearest Canadian Embassy. Students can apply for a study permit online or on paper and should remember to apply for it the earliest as soon as they receive their Letter of Acceptance. 

Study permits can be obtained via the regular application process or Student Direct Stream (SDS) which is currently open for the legal residents of countries including China, India, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Vietnam on meeting specific requirements.

To apply for the permit, the following easy steps need to be observed.

1. Create an account at the official IRCC website.
2. Answer an online questionnaire and upload the mandatory documents along with the completed form.
3. Submit the entry along with a nonrefundable application fee of 150 CAD (9,175 INR).

Post Application Process

1. The student must wait for an acknowledgement email that usually arrives within 24 hours of applying. It includes Seneca Student Centre login details to help applicants access their accounts for all admission-related updates.
2. The applicants are also advised to keep a track of further updates regarding their application status.
3. If the application is selected, the candidate will receive an offer of a place from the organization. 
4. At last, the selected student will be required to accept the offer letter, deposit the required tuition fee as mentioned, and apply for a study permit at the earliest. 

Seneca College Selection Process and Admission Decision

Seneca College observes first-come first-served practice, however, applicants will not be given preference on this basis while reviewing entries and sending out offers of a place. If the college accepts all the documents of international students, it sends admission notifications to applicants through email. It takes up to one week for the college to provide admission decision, depending on the application method. 

Respective additional requirements mentioned with various programs play a very significant role and hold a heavy weightage during the time of issuing a letter of acceptance. Some highly competitive programs, even determine the ranking of the applicants. Candidates are thus advised to ensure they have completed all such specifications at the earliest opportunity to avoid any complications.
