Although, I received many emails regarding those, did not have the chance to try any. Nonetheless, I believe all those opportunities are very competitive. Usyd was ranked as the top in employability.

Since it is still my first year, I have not been offered many jobs as I haven’t been actively seeking. I am confident though that my post-graduate opportunities will not fall short as USYD ranks #1 in graduate employability in Australia, and #4 in the world. I have talked to alumni from my program, and they told me that USYD has a wide network that have helped them find jobs with a good salary (about $100,000 AUD for masters graduate) as well as acquired internships during their uni years that built an outstanding resume. USYD is a named university with a good reputation, so obtaining a degree from there is already an advantage by itself.

I was enrolled in New York University as a Business Technology Management student for 2 years. I was 17 at the time and felt pressured by my parents to go to a well-known university to study the same major they did. In New York, I quickly realized that I did not feel fulfilled doing my major, and struggled a lot with my mental health. Mental health is a taboo topic in my home country, Indonesia, and that fact alone fueled my life goal of helping people, and so I took a special interest in the way our brain functions in hopes of advancing science and medicine that would be useful for people in the future as well as removing the negative stigma on mental illnesses. I decided it was time to take a leap of faith and moved half way across the world to USYD as I heard very amazing things about their science and research faculty. So, here I am studying Neuroscience and Psychology in a university that I love.

This isn't really relevant for medicine. Everyone gets employed after the degree by virtue of the type of degree

The University of Sydney has a renowned globally accredited medical programme which is accepted in multiple countries. Also it is close to home, which for me is Singapore.

It has excellent professional development and encourages students to network and improve themselves academically. Professors are willing to accommodate students and give them research experience.

I transferred because the US is currently in a very bad state and not looking too bright for employment when I graduate.

I have not had the opportunity to check this out yet, however, I have heard that the employment rate is excellent.

I joined it because I wanted to move away from home and to NSW. The local options were also not offering the course of choice at the time. I like the atmosphere of the UoN, it is very laidback and since it is smaller than the major universities - it has more intimately sized classes. However, I love the professionalism and quality that comes when attending a university such as USYD. The overall social experience is much better at UoN but the education drew me to USYD.

The university has excellent post-study placements. It hosts regular job fairs, where the biggest companies come to hire the third year, fourth year, and newly graduated students. The university also has a strong alumni network which enables students to get amazing job prospects. It also finances startups which provide additional opportunities for students and entrepreneurs alike.

I chose this university as it has an excellent Computer Science program which ranks in the top 50 universities in the world. It also ranks 4th worldwide in Graduate Employability above the likes of Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, etc. I also admire the fact that the university is located in close proximity to the CBD, which is the business hub of Sydney.

Many students who graduate have gotten opportunities to work in companies such as Goldman Sachs. We do have an alumni network and it is very good for job referrals and internship opportunities.

I chose this university as it is ranked very high for their economics program. I also chose it as I have always wished to live in Sydney and it is close to my parents who stay in Melbourne.
