Master in Data Science at Monash University is offered as a 1.5 and 2-year program.
The student can select any one of the following:
- 2 years full-time – 4 years part-time (96 points to complete)
- 1.5 years full-time – 3 years part-time (72 points to complete)
The student can select data science electives such as machine learning, learning from semi-structured data like text, and big data handling.
The course electives allow the student to build deeper skills in data analytics and machine learning.
The students will be learning Python and R (for data analysis), Hadoop and Spark (for distributed processing), Machine Learning(Predictions, Classifications, Reinforcement Learning).
In your final semester, the student will take part in an Industry Experience team project, working with industry mentors to develop data-driven IT solutions.
The student will undertake a minor-thesis research project, investigating cutting-edge problems under the supervision of internationally recognized researchers.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

An Australian undergraduate degree, not necessarily in IT, with at least a 60% average,or a minimum of 3.0 GPA or qualification deemed by the faculty to be a satisfactory equivalent.
Applicants with overseas tertiary qualifications are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Reputation. Came to know through a friend. Easy admission process and quick responses to email queries. Met uni representatives in Bangalore which made it easier to get all questions answered. Studied BSc in my undergrad 65%. No other criteria was looked at for admission. Application fees were waived by the agency I applied through.
