Campus Life

I'm attending online sessions from India right now so I can not describe much about campus life. In the introduction, video faculties showed a lot of things inside the University which includes a library, nanotechnology lab, genetic lab, big playground, auditorium etc

I'm attending online classes right now, so I can't provide details about accommodation. Most of the students opt for off-campus accommodation since it's a bit cheap. Most of the students first book a room for one-two weeks and then look for a shared apartment.

So, I think Deakin is quite well rounded in all of the three things you just mentioned. They have really good research facilities and labs because I have been looking and I have lot of friends in the nursing and medical community so I know that they have a lot of opportunities for them as well. Sports also a lot of my classmates and friends do play sports they have all kinds of sports sport teams, cheerleading, basketball, volley ball and a very very expensive library, three floors library, and lots of staff to help they also just opened the new law building and the whole floor gym and pool so they do provide a lot of good experiences to new students and people who are doing on campus study. So they also have lots of groups like they have a dance club, they have a book club they have lots of you know lets go to picnic club, they have lots of facilities for new students who don't they also have friends group you know to meet with people they have parties and during orientation week I think that's when they have the most number of parties. So unfortunately I only got to do one year of my undergraduate there because of COVID and the first year I just decided to you know look instead of joining groups I was just trying to find new people get my space cause I have never done psychology before so I really wanted to focus on my academics but and when I thought I do it in second year that's when I had to come back home.

One tip that I have for you guys is to plan for your study abroad as soon as possible, planning ahead is important because there are a lot of details you will need to take into account before you leave. So yeah, that's about it all the very best guys.

My campus has Type-4 and Type-3 bio safety labs, microbiology labs and architectural strategy labs. We have different research institutions like we have a whole building that is dedicated to research. Every campus and every faculty has its own society with different areas of study. They have different societies for different countries. If you are interested in sports, they even have different clubs for them.

Like in Singapore, although, you know, it is generally there's like this apartment culture, you've got to hit the HDB, which are the government housing, the cheapest, you can find accommodation. Right, then you've got private condos. And and although, you know, Singapore also is like very pricey, then we've come out as, like, pretty high on the rankings, in terms of, like, most expensive place to live in, right, like, but I would say, like, compared to, like, you know, somewhere like, Hong Kong, it's like, we, I would say that it's maybe most international students would find this place more like palatable, because they're slightly more space. And you're not living in those coffin homes in Hong Kong, where so there's really no space and even though like it's crowded here, right, because it's so small and congested, but I would say that there's obviously this one order

My first residence was Deakin's own residences. There my rent was around $750 and I had my own private room with a laundry where all the bills were included expect the laundry. For my second accommodation, I rented a whole house with one of my friends and there I was paying all the bills and everything. But, there were 4 rooms in the house. Right now, I am living in one house and I'm renting this one where all bills are included. I just have to spend money on groceries.

For a student living in Australia, the average rent a student has to bear is $500 (excluding bills), and the bill will include utilities ($150-200). Dorms are expensive since living on campus will range from an average of $700-800 depending on the type of room.

Deakin University is a renowned university that offers courses in many aspects and is one of the top-tier universities in Australia. Deakin turned out to be a better option for me as it offered me the course that interested me the most. Besides, Deakin offering me a scholarship was also one of the reasons I went to university.

You can temporarily stay in university dorms, which costs 250$ per week. Later you can opt for a room outside the university, generally starts with 125$ per week.

Firstly, my USA visa got rejected. So, my backup plan was Australia. After my visa rejection, the immediate intake of the Australia was November, the best university to come in the November intake is Deakin University. Also, I have seen the QS rankings and heard many success stories. The curriculum is great, so these are the things that drove me to accept the admission offer.

You have accomodation on campus but you need to book in advance if you want one. There are many houses which can be rented by a group of friends which works better than on campus accommodation.

I chose DEAKIN due to the course I chose. There was only 2-3 universities which had construction management coursework and Deakin university had construction management(professional) course which intrigued me and also the fees was less compared to group 8 universities which was really too costly.

This university has accomodation facilities inside the university. It is very good. Shared accommodation also available.

I love Science, and I also wanted to change my career. That's why I started studying Science.

On campus facility is good, but it is overpriced. It is better to stay outside making it cheaper. One needs to pay for the rent, the electricity, water and gas bills. Other utilities are also to be paid like wifi and cleaning if staying outside. All bill are inclusive when staying on campus.

My selection of the University was done based on the English education nations(US, UK,AUS, Canada). I preferred Australia, especially Victoria as it is the education hub of the country. Though it is a bit expensive but comparatively cheaper than other countries. The admission process is hassle free. Chose Deakin as it highly ranked in the World and has got a good stand in Business studies.

I stay off campus while deakin also has a on campus accomidation but for a easy pocket most of the stduents look out for off campus accomidation. It is easy to find an accomidation here students can look out for various portals like Facebook market, Gumtree, flatemates.com and other sources where house listings are posted.

I wanted to apply for the Master of Information Technology (Professional) Course at Deakin University with the goal to improve network skills, software development and cybersecurity management. I firmly believed that Deakin University will be the perfect launch pad for my aspirations. The Master of Information Technology (Professional) curriculum delves into the foundational skills of the subject, while also providing an industry-oriented perspective. To sumup Deakin University’s program is an addon advantage for its International Student support system.
