Swinburne University of Technology was one of top universities. Moreover the curriculum of my selected course was well designed and covered almost all recent technologies which I wanted to learn. The university had good industry tie ups which is beneficial for the students. By covering all this the fees of the university was little less than other universities.

Course Curriculum :

Yes the course curriculum was very nicely designed. As it was the generalized course it covered almost all basics about programming language first and then moved to the specialized part. All the practical's had good exercise to put all the learnt theory into practice and all the doubts were cleared at the same point. There were two units included in the curriculum where research and internship opportunities were given.

Exams :

The main requirements for the admission was to give a proper SOP mentioning about your passion for the course along with that two letter of Recommendations, all the marksheets a valid English test where the minimum score should be 6 band in all the individual section as well as minimum 6.5 as overall band. I scored overall : 7.5, Listening : 9.0 , Reading : 7.5 , Writing : 7.0 , Speaking : 7.0. We also have to explain with a gap explanation letter if we have any gaps in our work and studies.

Placement :

Due to covid my university placements were disturbed and unfortunately I did not take the unit of Internships. I am looking for job from indeed and Lindklin. Job opportunities for the freshers are less. Many of my friends got into internship which was unpaid. I am still looking for job. University conducts events such as meet ups which can be helpful for our networking.

Internship :

No

Events :

Being one of the good universities in Australia, Swinburne University had a large number of international students from different parts of the world. To encourage all the students the university had variety of extracurricular activities clubs and volunteering options. The infrastructure of the university was good. We had large libraries and study areas. There were also facility where we can study in open areas. Many sport clubs as well as dancing clubs were also present.

Fees :

AU $59,040

Scholarship :

I got academic scholarship based on my previous scores. first year : 10% of the total fees. second year : 12% of the total fees.

Faculty :

Faculty and staff was very good. During the Covid time we got major support from them . Everyone was easily accessible and available. Few times I felt the lecturer is not well versed with the knowledge of the particular topic. Most of the study was research based. Grading and feedback was very useful for us to improve and rectify our mistakes.

Hostel :

Very less students go with University Accommodation as it is very costly. Many other feasible options can be Uni lodge or the rental places which we can get from many online platforms.
