- The Master of Science (M.Sc) in Engineering and Project Management at the University of California is a 9 months program.

The course requirement is consists of two plans. The Plan I consist of 20 units whereas plan II is consists of 24 units.
- It is semester-long courses that include two uniquely focused on Lean Construction as well as courses on Sustainability, Project Controls, Business for Engineers, and Law for Engineers.
- Students can flexibly tailor their 9-month long MSc program of study or PhD coursework.
- The comprehensive exam is a closed-book written test of the student's general knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the field of engineering and project management.
- The test is administered towards the end of the spring semester and, at the faculty's discretion also in the fall.
- During the 3-hour exam, each student selects and answers 3 questions and the number provided can vary from semester to semester.
- During the graduate study, students will attend the weekly seminars in Fall and Spring. These seminars provide a forum for learning about what is happening in the profession and in academic research.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must complete a bachelor's degree or the recognized equivalent from an accredited institution.
- A strong technical background equivalent to an engineering bachelor’s degree is required.
- Students hold a satisfactory scholastic average, usually a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 (B) on a 4.0 scale.
- Students have enough undergraduate training to do graduate work in their chosen field.
- The submission of GRE scores is not compulsory for this program.
English Language proficiency:
- All students from countries or political entities in which the official language is not English are required to submit official evidence of English language proficiency.
- This applies to students from Bangladesh, Burma, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Latin America, the Middle East, the People’s Republic of China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, most European countries, and Quebec (Canada).
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
