Bachelor of Science [B.S] [Nursing] From California State University

The Department of Nursing at California State University, Bakersfield proudly offers the online RN to BSN Program. The RN to BSN Program has been offered on-campus for several years, but has been utilizing the Blackboard system since 2009 to provide higher education access to both local and Bakersfield surrounding area students (Antelope Valley and Tulare/Kings County) online. This program is a great option for students who would like to obtain a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing after completing the Associate Degree in Nursing.

The RN to BSN Program is offered once a year during the summer term and allows accepted students to complete the baccalaureate degree in twelve months (summer through spring). The program requires that all students complete approximately eleven clinical days during the fall term (September through November). All students must be present at the Kern County Department of Public Health or assigned clinical site to complete these required hours (day/times TBD by the Department of Nursing after admission). Students are also required to complete all general education requirements for the degree by the last quarter of the program (spring).
