Important Dates
The curriculum is founded on a basic knowledge of music, experiences in performing, and courses in business and music management. Graduates may work in a range of capacities at record labels and distributors, or in artist and concert management, retail sales, or music publishing. All students complete at least one internship with a commercial firm or non-profit agency as part of their programsThe mission of the School of Music is to provide a comprehensive, rigorous, and innovative academic program that is consistent with the urban context and mission of Georgia State University and that serves the pursuit of artistic, professional, and scholarly excellence through experiences of lasting value for all stakeholders. The School of Music meets this mission by providing all university students with courses designed to help them understand and enjoy music, and by offering Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Science degrees that prepare students for careers in music or further study at the graduate level.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- Students must hold a senior secondary school degree from a recognized university.
- The minimum science and program GPA needed to apply is 3.30.
- Submission of IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE scores is required.
