In this joint major, explore the relationships between literature and history. It builds a program unique to student’s interests in these fields, and participate in the vibrant intellectual life of each department. The departments of History and English offer a joint major, the goal of which is a logical and focused curriculum for exploring the relationships of literature and history. The joint major seeks a coherence that draws upon expertise in each department to aid the student in fashioning an individual program.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
- Students are required to maintain at least a 3.7 overall GPA.
Language Requirments:
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.
- Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission.
International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
