Ph.D. program is strongly research-oriented and emphasizes the early involvement of students in research projects with world-wide leading faculty. The finance group has a proven track record of teaching students the skills necessary to conduct original research. Ph.D. students have gone on to publish a number of papers in leading finance journals. The Ph.D. program will also help students sharpen student instruction skills as student teachers during the final years of the program. Given the small size of the program, the tutorial-mentor model is the primary educational approach employed. Thus, doctoral students experience significant attention and support by a diverse set of world-class faculty.

All incoming students, regardless of need and background, are awarded a graduate research assistantship (GRA) which includes a tuition waiver and a living stipend of $30,000. The GRA provides a waiver for out-of-state tuition, and a substantial reduction of in-state tuition and fees, resulting in a final cost of approximately $1300 per semester.

International students applying for admission in this program must have an undergraduate degree in the relevant field from a recognized university and have a valid ELP test score. For the On campus program, the application deadline is February 15. While the application deadline for the Online program is February 1 as standard deadline and Marchh 15 as the final deadline.
