- The objectives are to prepare researchers and scholars to generate knowledge about individual and family development and behavior over the life span, as well as educate professionals who will provide educational, implementation, and advocacy services needed for children and families to function more effectively.

- Master of Science: Students may choose one of two approaches to this degree. One is intended for those who plan to continue their education through the Ph.D. degree. The other is for those who plan professional employment upon the completion of the master’s degree.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- Students must hold at least a baccalaureate degree accredited by the appropriate regional accrediting association or its international equivalent prior to the expected semester of enrollment, with the exception of University of Georgia undergraduate students enrolled in linked bachelors-masters programs.
- Minimum TOEFL score requirement: overall score of 80 with at least 20 on speaking and writing.
- Minimum IELTS score requirement: overall band-width of 6.5, with no single band (score) below 6.0.
