There is a growing awareness in public health about the importance of learning not just what should and can be done to improve the public's health, but also how it can be done in a way that is cost-effective, embedded in community structures and culture and at a large enough scale to have real impact.

The graduate programs in health promotion, education and behavior include the Master of Public Health, designed for individuals with aspirations to be practitioners in health department, community, school or worksite settings. An accelerated professional master option is available via online delivery and our dual degree program with social work is intended to permit students to earn two complementary and distinct graduate degrees.

The Ph.D. program prepares graduates for leadership and skills in research, teaching and professional service.
