It will enable the qualified student to satisfy all state competencies for Professional Licensure as a teacher of elementary or secondary physical education.
The Master of Education degree is designed to serve individuals who possess Initial certification and who are required to earn the Professional teacher certification. Additionally, individuals with Professional Licensure required to earn Professional Development Points toward re-certification or wish to pursue a M.Ed. with emphasis on Physical Education may also be served by this program.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicant must have completed a bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education
- Minimum GPA of 2.8 in undergraduate study
- Must pass the MTEL assesment before beginning the course
- Three letters of recommendation including minimum one academic reference
- Submit a written statement of purpose with the intent to complete the course
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 79 in iBT; minimum 213 in CBT; minimum 550 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
