With Palm Beach Atlantic's 14 NCAA Division II sports teams, the Greene?Complex and the Rinker Athletic Campus as a backdrop, students in this major will learn up-close and hands-on about covering an energetic and wide-ranging athletics program. At the same time, student sports broadcasters will be covering the Sunshine State Conference -- one of the premier DII conferences in the country.

The B.A. in sports broadcasting is an excellent fit for collegiate athletes. Coursework within the major runs before mid-afternoon so as not to conflict with practices, training and workout schedules. Student athletes can deepen?their analytical and critical understanding of the sports industry in class while developing their athletic abilities on the field or the arena.?

At PBA, you'll:

  • Engage in hands-on learning?by serving in all crew and on-air positions that create live sports productions
  • Have the opportunity to join the staff?of the digital-only campus news organization,?The Beacon, as a sports reporter, media producer or sports editor
  • Experience the program's close working relationship with?Sailfish Athletics, including?coaches and athletes?
