About this course:
- The Master of Arts in Sociology Research and Practice will prepare you for a doctoral program or a career in social advocacy, research, human services, or policy-making.
In this program, students will learn methods of doing research on:
- Health and society;
- Engage in a research project focused on issues in Washington, DC;
- Build their qualitative and quantitative data analysis capacity;
- Hone their ability to present results of research to various audiences.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must meet the minimum university requirements for admission to graduate study, including a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, with at least a 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) grade point average
- A background in the social sciences is strongly preferred.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
