About this course:
The MA in Economics is a 30-credit program designed to ensure that University graduates make an impact by:
- Developing their ability to use economic theory to explain outcomes
- Make informed predictions
- Analyze data to rigorously answer questions.
A 15-credit hour core provides a solid foundation in economic theory and econometrics to students in all tracks.
- The five distinct tracks allow students to tailor their remaining coursework to their specific goals.
- Most graduate level courses are offered in the evening, and the master's degree can be completed in either full-time or part-time status.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must meet the minimum university requirements for admission to graduate study, including a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, with at least a 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) grade point average
- Admission is based on the academic record and two letters of recommendation
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
