Undergraduate Admission Requirements:

• Academic transcripts from grades nine to twelve
• All academic transcripts from non- US educational institutions are to be evaluated by a member of NACES along with their English translations
• A letter of recommendation submitted via Common App from a guidance counselor, principal, head of school, or school official
• Proof of English language proficiency
• Official test scores of SAT or ACT are to be submitted by the testing agency (Test-OPtional)
• International Student Financial Aid Application (ISFAA)
• Statement of Financial Resources Form

• Early Action: Late January, 2023
• Early Decision: Late January, 2023
• Regular Decision: Early April, 2023

English Language Requirements

US Student Visa for International Students

International students at Howard University require students to apply for a student visa to the USA. For a visa application students require an Immigration Form I-20 (Certificate of Eligibility) that is issued by the university on

• being accepted by the Office of Admissions,
• paying the enrollment fee, and
• Submission of a financial statement indicating how expenses will be met while the student is attending the University.
