The program requires that students take courses in physics, theoretical mechanics, electricity and thermodynamics. Candidates for teacher certification must fulfill all requirements for the physics major for teaching certification.
The Department of Physics offers four programs in physics leading to the B.S. degree. A student contemplating a physics major should arrange for an early interview with the department, so that his or her interest and future career can be considered in the planning of the program.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts or high school transcript evaluation
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES or AICE member agency
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 or equivalent is required on a scale of 4
- Submitting score of ACT/SAT is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 61 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum score of 5.5
- PTE: minimum score of 45
- Duolingo: minimum score of 85
- SAT: overall score of minimum 900
- ACT: composite score of 18
