The mission of the faculty of the Health Promotion Concentration is twofold. First, our mission is to prepare professionally exceptional health promotion students that can serve in a variety of health settings of practice including sh cools, work-sites, communities, with individuals, and in the health care system. The second is to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent diseases within a given population utilizing a holistic approach to the dimensions of health. This degree path is designed to prepare students for careers in the settings of health promotion, and/or to enter a graduate program related to the dimensions of health.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants need to be a high school graduate in order to apply for the program
- Applicant should have completed the A-G course requirement: 2 years of history/social science, 4 years of English, 3 years of Mathematics, 2 years of laboratory science, 2 years of language other than English, 1 year of visual performing arts and 1 year of college prep elective
- Students need to have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in preparatory coursework in classes 10, 11 and 12
- SAT or ACT score is optional for students
- Students with GPA of less than 3.0 will be evaluated if space is available
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum score of 61 in iBT; minimum score of 500 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum score of 6.0
