The Bachelor of Arts in Applied Computing (BAAC) is a multidisciplinary degree that allows students to become experts in integrating computer technology across their minor elective fields. This degree is most attractive to students with combined interests in both computer science and another field of study, which would become their elective minor. Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- Applicants who have completed their programming prerequisites from an institution outside of Washington State will need to provide a course syllabus or course description listing the content of each course.
- Programming I and II must be taken in the same programming language. There is no requirement as to which programming language is used as long as the two courses are taught using the same programming language.

Required Document List
- Unofficial transcripts from all college institutions in which a degree was granted are required. Documents should be generated by the institution (e.g., a scan of an official document or a PDF created from a student portal).
- Certificates of completion for non-transcripted coursework may also be submitted as evidence of this requirement.
- Two letters of recommendation are required. Recommendations could come from student’s professors or supervisors at work.
Career and Placement after Course
- Interviewing on campus is an easy and convenient way to recruit talented UW students and alumni for internships and professional career positions. Reservations for room-only interviewing on campus are taken for Fall, Winter and Spring quarters each year.
- Information Sessions (“InfoSessions”) are informal events that give students an opportunity to share information about their company while networking with UW students and alumni.
