Plymouth State University Admission Deadlines

Plymouth State University accepts applications for the fall, spring and summer semesters. Deadlines for undergraduate transfer and international students vary. While deadlines for most graduate programs are the same, some accept applications on a rolling basis.

Plymouth State University International Student Admissions

International students follow the same admission procedure as domestic students. However, they will be asked to submit some additional documents and fulfil visa requirements for admission to US universities. The detailed admission process for international students is described below:

Basic Admission Requirements: There are few other requirements that are to be fulfilled by international students while filling the application:

Notarized copies of your high school/college transcript translated into English;
Transcripts must be accompanied by course-by-course evaluation preferably from World Education Services (WES), verifying the completion of a degree.
Notarized International Financial Certification Form that includes: copies of bank verification (evidence of financial ability to afford university costs);
A copy of your valid passport and visa

English Proficiency Test Score for International Students

International applicants seeking admission to Plymouth State University must demonstrate proficiency in the English language by submitting test scores of TOEFL/ IELTS or any other acceptable examination. The minimum requirements of these scores are given in the table below:

Visa Process for International Students

A Form I-20 is issued to international applicants from the university. Following this, applicants must complete the I-20 and pay the necessary SEVIS I-901 fee. Applicants then need to apply for the F-1 or J-1 visa. Following are requirements to apply for a visa:

Evidence of financial ability showing necessary amount required to meet expenses for at least 1 year
Evidence of English language proficiency
