- The mission of the post-professional graduate Athletic Training program offered by the Temple University Department of Kinesiology is to broaden the applied and experiential knowledge and skills of certified athletic trainers, expand the athletic training body of knowledge, and disseminate new knowledge in the discipline.
- This program does not allow students to take the Board of Certification exam. Applicants interested in becoming certified athletic trainers should consider the Master of Science in Athletic Training (M.S.A.T.) degree program.
- Students are expected to complete their two years of coursework on a full-time basis.
- The post-professional graduate Athletic Training program at Temple University is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
- The Athletic Training concentration in Kinesiology promotes three areas of distinctiveness: athletic training leadership, brain injury, and evidence-based medicine (EBM) research. These areas are based on program faculty expertise and available facilities.
