University of West Georgia Campus and Accommodation
The University of West Georgia campus offers a number of activities and organisations that will enable students to socialise with each other.
- University of West Georgia campus has more than 150 student organizations in various categories such as Student Conduct Board, Health Education, University Recreation, etc.
- The University also houses 24 fraternities and sororities that students can select from and participate in events like Greek Week. The University’s Campus Center also hosts a variety of events such as conferences, proms, etc.
- The University Recreation Centre has 4 indoor courts for sports. It also has a Climbing Wall, Fitness Floor with equipment, Functional Training Area with Precor Queenax equipment, Game room featuring video games, card and board games, XBOX, PS4, etc., and Group Fitness Studios.
- The University also provides for Outdoors Rentals for outdoor activities such as bicycling, camping or paddling. The Intramural Sports Fields in the University is used for various sports such as softball, football, frisbee, soccer, etc.

University of West Georgia Housing Facilities
All first-time college students must live on campus for two semesters (Fall/Spring or Spring/Fall) and enrol in a freshman food plan for both semesters. However, students who are 21 years of age on the first day of classes in the Fall semester and have already attended two semesters at another university can qualify for a Residency Requirement Waiver. They can opt for off-campus student housing in the US.
University of West Georgia has the following residence options for first-year students
- Bowdon Hall: This is a traditional hall with double occupancy rooms. It offers amenities such as private study areas, full-size kitchen, movie theatre, music halls.
- Strozier Complex: This is a pet-friendly residence hall with 62 single rooms. Besides full-sized beds in a single accommodation room and on-site kitchen, the strozier complex also has a dedicated dog walk area.
- Center Pointe Suites: This is the first option for first year students. It has single and double occupancy rooms with semi-private bathrooms, wardrobe and furniture.The residence hall also has a patio with grill.
- The Oaks: This Hall has single occupancy rooms as well as double occupancy rooms with private and semi-private bathrooms. The Oaks is next to East Commons dining hall and offers facilities like meeting/presentation room, a pool table and a vending machine den.
- University Suites: University Suites have suite-style residence halls with semi-private bathrooms.It also has the housing Academic Resource Centre and conference room.
- Almost all the residence halls have 24 hour laundry room, large and private study rooms, TV lounge, multipurpose room with full-sized catering kitchen
The rates range from 2,500 USD to 3,700 USD per year depending on the choice of residence hall and the choice of the room. Application fee is 150 USD for new students and 50 USD for returning students. An additional social fee of 20 USD is also charged.

Overview
Beautiful campus, close to home. I took a college tour during high school on the campus and fell in love. The campus was big enough to walk around, but not too big to where I would need to drive everywhere.
