- The History BA degree program is designed to allow students maximum flexibility to pursue their interests, whether in particular time periods or world regions.
- In addition to introductory classes and a wide range of upper-level coursework, students will build strong analytical, communication, research, and writing skills.
- Graduates are prepared to weigh the evidence and evaluate interpretations of great events and significant personalities of the past. Simultaneously, students develop a broad general sense of the traditional liberal arts disciplines while gaining a greater depth of knowledge in history.
- Students will have opportunities to study away and collaborate with faculty members who have expertise across a number of fields. Faculty members specialize in many geographical and thematic fields, including:
- colonial and contemporary America,
- diplomatic history,
- gender history,
- the history of imperialism and post-colonial politics,
- military history,
- urban history, and more.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
- Students are required to maintain at least a 2.0 overall GPA.
Language Requirments:
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.
- Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission.
International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
