Leads to New York State licensure and ASHA certification.?The Master of Science in Communication Disorders at SUNY New Paltz is registered as licensurequalifying in New York State and is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirments:
- Applicants must have completed a bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education completed
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES accredited agency
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent on a scale of 4.0

Applicant must have completed at least eight courses in communication disorders at the undergraduate leve
- Submit an admission essay in 400-500 words
- Submit three academic or professional letter of recommendation out of which at least two should be from professors
- An interview and proctored writing sample may be required
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores

- TOEFL: minimum 80 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- PTE: minimum 53
