The Department of Chemistry at Tennessee State University is one of the major departments in the College of Agriculture, Human and Natural Sciences. The Department is housed in the Boswell Science Complex, a new 60,000 square feet building equipped with state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities, classrooms, chemical storage rooms, computer rooms, and library. The students are currently served by 13 full-time faculty members and has approximately 100 undergraduate chemistry majors and close to 40 graduate students. The Chemistry BS Program at TSU is approved by the Committee on Professional Training (CPT) of the American Chemical Society (ACS).
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants must submit official transcripts of high school and other education attended
- Official transcripts must have course by course evaluation from an NACES accredited agency
- Submit SAT/ACT scores if applicnant is under the age of 21
- Submit English Proficiency Test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 61 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum 5.5
