As our understanding of the interaction between engineering activities and the effect on the environment expands, the need for civil engineers with bio-resources training also grows. Particular areas of concern are:
- soil and water conservation and reclamation
- modeling and analysis of hydrologic systems
- safe and adequate water supplies
- protection and enhancement of surface and groundwater
- quantity and quality
- waste and by-product management
Professional Job Opportunities
Our graduates have been highly successful in beginning their engineering career immediately after graduation. Graduates have tended to find employment in:
- consulting engineering companies
- manufacturing industries
- mining and natural resources industries
- engineering sales and service
- federal, state, and local agencies
We also have a high placement record in graduate engineering programs, and have had students with ROTC scholarships move on to military commitments.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of seconday and post-secondary school
- Official transcripts must contain English translation along with original language
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional and students are recommended to submit these scores
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 71 in iBT; 525 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.0
- PTE: minimum 48
- Duolingo: minimum 110
