Other opportunites for study include master-classes, chamber music ensembles, String Ensemble and performances with the Minot Symphony Orchestra. BSE students may choose to pursue either a Orchestral or Composite teaching certificate. BA students may elect to pursue a Performance Option. Lessons are also available to music minors and non-majors.
Each string student is encouraged to achieve a high quality of personal performance. MSU String Graduates are heard nationally and dominate the educational string programs in North Dakota.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of high school and other educational institution attended
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by one of the evaluation services like WES, ECE or AERC
- Students must send a document by document evaluation from the agency to the university
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 71 in iBT and 525 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.0
- Duolingo: minimum 95
- PTE: minimum 50
