The B.S. in Mechanical Engineering will meet requirements for accreditation by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET, Inc. Coursework prepares graduates to work for a broad range of employers, but will primarily focus on the needs of Wisconsin manufacturers. The program has a strong emphasis on application of theory to practice and experimentation, and requires a cooperative work experience with an approved employer. Graduates will also have the same opportunities for advanced degree work that many UW-Stout engineering graduates have pursued.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official high school transcripts, marksheets and certificates
- Official transcripts must be translated into English and should contain course by course description of high school courses
- Applicants should have completed the following at high school level: 4 credits of English, 3 credits of Maths and Social Science, 3 credits of science, 4 elective credits from areas in world business,art, design, and other academic areas
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 525 in PBT; 70 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.0
- Duolingo: minimum 105
- PTE: minimum 48
