- Master of Fine Arts in Design-Media Arts at the University of California Los Angeles is a 2 years program.

- Students have to complete a minimum of 80 quarter units of upper-division and graduate Design-Media Arts courses is required. 66 of the 80 units require letter grades and 14 units require S/U grades.
- 16 units of electives are required and students are encouraged to select elective courses from outside the department.
- The comprehensive MFA examination consists of an oral examination and a concentrated body of work that will be presented in a master of fine arts exhibition.
- The department provides world-class faculty that gave a depth of expertise and achievement to the students.
- It also provides different lab facilities to the students such as DMA Lab, Video Lab, Fabrication and Electronics Lab, print Lab, Game Lab, Arts Library, etc.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must complete a bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- The minimum grade point average (GPA) requirement is an average of B grade (3.0 on a 4.0 scale), or it's equivalent.
- Applicants are expected to have a working knowledge of a variety of software.
- Students also have experience with video, interactive media, or 3D modeling and animation.

Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
