The majority of students in the College earn a B.A. degree. The B.A. is the traditional baccalaureate degree, structured to ensure both breadth and depth of knowledge by extensive general education degree requirements and approximately ¼ of total course work in the major. The B.A. requires exposure to world languages and cultures, ever more important as the world’s global community becomes central in our lives.
The primary distinction between the B.A. and the B.G.S. degree is the study of a foreign language, which is required for the B.A. but not for the B.G.S. Other general education requirements are limited as well, allowing maximum flexibility in course selection.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit attested copy of high school and secondary school transcripts
- Submit ACT/SAT scores
- Students need a minimum index score of 5.5 for admission
- Index score is calculated by taking high school GPA and SAT/ACT scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL iBT: minimum 79 required
- IELTS: minimum 6.5 required
- PTE Academic: minimum 53 required
- ACT English: minimum 22
- SAT evidence based writing: minimum 590 required
Indian Student Specific Requirements:
- Submit attested copy of higher secondary school examination (class 12)
- Students must submit their original HSC or ISCE before admission
