Kutztown University's College of Visual and Performing Arts offers the first and only Master of Fine Arts in Communication Design within the PASSHE system, for students looking to focus in graphic design, interactive design, advertising design and Illustration. Our low-residency program is nationally ranked as one of the best online AND most affordable MFA graphic design programs in the U.S.
At KU students will join a community of designers and faculty who are passionate about what they create. They empower the students to evoke meaningful change, develop their strengths and celebrate the future of design—all through individual development and visual expression.
They will embark on a journey to discover the power of their voice and grow, not into someone new, but to become their most creative themselves.
They can gain the ability to assess the effectiveness of the design and how it can influence behavioral change. Learn new and innovative ways to solve problems using expert communication design. Broaden their design experience through 12 full-time faculty members with expertise in key focus areas of design, with real-world experience.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a related subject from a recognized university.
A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required on a 4.0 scale to be eligible for the program.

Indian Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
